Over the past few years Rinstrum has provided multiple custom LUA applications for Growers in the Fruit and Vegetable Farming sector, to track Pickers’ yields as they move away from hourly based contracted labor.

One such application was designed with an R457-MAX programmable indicator and an XG3030 base, to track the net yield of transient pickers at a capsicum farm, weighing multiple crates at once. When the picker’s ID and the number of crates are entered, the application calculates the net total weight for each picker minus the tray weights. The data is logged internally and can be downloaded via a USB stick or the Web Server Interface. The bottom display of the R400 series delivers messages and prompts, guiding the user through the weighing sequence. Similar applications have been tailored to meet the needs of various Picking and Packing methods.
