Rinstrum has successfully developed and implemented a Lua application that does custom printing for each product added and provides a total of all products itemized when the batch is complete.

This application was initially developed for a filling application that utilizes a hopper scale to load multiple ingredients into an overhead hopper. With each press of the function key, the current ingredient is tared out, and the ingredient number and weight are printed and incremented. The process is repeated when new ingredients are added until the batch is complete. Upon completion, a printout of batch totals and accumulated weights can be obtained. This application was also adapted for a second filling application using a small bench scale to load ingredients into a small drum or pail.

Originally developed on a Rinstrum R457-MAX platform to print using a Star Tape printer, this application can be reused with R457 unit/s and other necessary hardware. This provides cost savings for the client, given the application requirements remain unchanged.
