Product Launch - Ethernet Module (M4221) for R400 Series

The R400 Series R420 and R423 indicators support Ethernet using the M4221 module. Connect an R400 indicator onto a network using an Ethernet connection for:

• Remote monitoring of indicator (for service technicians)
• Direct connection to the indicator from your PC application using standard sockets interface, to retrieve weight readings and configure settings
• Remote PC serial port – locate your PC away from the indicator and still access the indicator like it was connected directly to the PC on a serial port

Tank Weighing

Tank weighing from a single tank to a tank farm can be handled with R310, R320/323, R400 or the 1203 weight transmitter.

• The R310 is suitable for standalone tank weighing.
• The R320/R323 provides basic weighing functionality at the tank and with the two high current isolated outputs can provide local control, which could be used for level control for example. The R320/323 has a built communications port so can work back to a PC or in a larger installation they are be configured in a ring network.
• The 1203 weight transmitter can connect back to a PLC or PC using various methods - 4-20mA Analogue/RS232/RS485, all of which come standard.
• An R400 indicator provides the most flexibility and control as it can be configured with multiple IO and communcations options - including Profibus and Ethernet.

Combine with the Thames Side LeverMount or MasterMount weighing assemblies.

• the load cell is used as a lever to raise the top plate of the mount into the working position, regardless of whether the vessel is empty or full. 

The LeverMount is suitable for or where

• High damage risk areas, fork lift damage, flooding etc, easy replacement.

R400 Series Tilt Compensating Indicator

The R400 Series of indicators has been expanded to include a tilt compensating version the K491. Available in either the ABS housing (R420-K491) or the stainless steel housing (R423-K491) depending on the mounting or environmental requirements. It is a general purpose indicator that uses an accessory module to connect to a 2 axis tilt sensor that provides tilt compensation. The K491 is ideal for specialist truck OEM’s requiring electronics for accurate weighing solutions where the load may be on an angle.

R400 Series Custom Printing Application Note

Step through screen by screen using View400 on how to do a customised docket print out.  Do your own header and footer, and specify what should be printed for the various print events - like a short press of a Print Key, a long press of a Print Key or changing Products. 

Specify a record print, docket print or report print depending on what is needed for the installation.  Understand the range of print tokens and how they work.  This method of defining custom print outs applies across the complete range of R400 series indicators.
